Privacy Policy

1. What this policy covers

This policy explains what personal data SAT TOP collects from students who create an account and practice on the platform, why we collect it, who processes it on our behalf, how long we keep it, and how you can ask us to delete it. It is written to comply with the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Personal Data,” as amended on March 26, 2026 and in force from March 27, 2026.

2. What we collect

  • Your name and email address, provided when you sign in.
  • Your practice answers, mock exam scores, and progress history, created when you use the practice engine.
  • Your exam date and target score, if you choose to set them.
  • Anything you write in the Community room. Those messages are shown to other signed-in SAT TOP students, so please do not put anything private in them.
  • The words you save to your vocabulary library, together with any definition or example sentence you write yourself.
  • The highlights and notes you make on questions while practising, in mock exams and on past papers.
  • If you ask a mentor to call you back, the name and phone number you put in the Book a lesson form, the English level you pick there, your Telegram username if you choose to give one, and which mentor you asked for. We use the number to ring you about the lesson and for nothing else, and it is never shown to other students.
  • Bug reports and support messages you send us, including any screenshot you choose to attach.
  • A technical record when a page fails to load for you: the address of the page, the error text, and the identifier your browser sends describing itself. We use these to find and fix the fault.

We do not collect biometric data, genetic data, or any payment card details — course and lesson payments are arranged directly with SAT TOP over Telegram, not through this website.

3. Why we collect it

We use your name and email to identify your account and let you sign back in. We use your answers, scores, and progress history to show you your own practice history, track which skills you still need to drill, and show you the official rationale for questions you got wrong.

Everything else in the list above exists only to give you the feature you used it for: your vocabulary library and your notes are shown back to you, your Community messages are shown to the room, and your bug reports, support messages and page-error records are read by the SAT TOP team so we can answer you and repair what broke. We do not use any of it to profile you, and no automated decision is made about you from it.

4. Who processes your data

These processors handle your data on our behalf:

  • Clerk handles sign-in and authentication.
  • Supabase stores your account data, answers, and scores.
  • Netlify hosts the site and serves you every page, so it handles the technical details of your request needed to deliver it.
  • Groq generates the answers in Ask AI and in the vocabulary Activate exercise. When you use either, the text you typed and the question it relates to are sent to Groq. Your name, your email address and your account number are not: nothing sent to Groq identifies you.
  • Resend delivers the bug reports you send us. A report includes your name and email address, so that we can reply to you about it.
  • Wiktionary (the Wikimedia Foundation), the Free Dictionary API and Datamuse look up words for you in Vocabulary. When you search for a word, that word is sent to them. Nothing that identifies you is: not your name, not your email address, not your account number.
  • Desmos provides the graphing calculator inside a mock exam. It loads in your browser rather than through our server, so when you open the calculator Desmos receives your IP address and browser details. It loads only if you open it.
  • YouTube hosts the course videos, embedded in its no-cookie mode. When you play one, YouTube receives your IP address. No video, no request.

Apart from the processors above, we share your data with no one else, and we do not sell it or use it for advertising. SAT TOP carries no analytics or tracking scripts of any kind.

5. Where your data is stored

Under the March 2026 amendment to the Law “On Personal Data,” the earlier requirement to store all personal data exclusively inside Uzbekistan was relaxed. Most personal data — including the account and practice data described above — may now be stored on servers outside Uzbekistan where the destination provides adequate protection or under an approved contractual clause, which is how the processors in section 4 hold your data. Every one of them operates outside Uzbekistan. Only biometric and genetic data must remain stored inside Uzbekistan, and SAT TOP does not collect either.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to keep a record for longer under Uzbek law.

7. Requesting deletion

To delete your account and personal data, message us on Telegram at @SAT_Top_admin and ask for your data to be deleted. We will confirm once it is done.

8. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, including the Law “On Personal Data” as amended in March 2026.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
