Copyright and Takedowns

Last updated: August 7, 2026

1. Who to contact

Send copyright notices to our designated agent at copyrightsattop.uz@gmail.com. Put “Copyright notice” in the subject line so it is not missed.

This address is for copyright complaints only. Questions about your account, a wrong answer, or a broken page go to @SAT_Top_admin on Telegram, which we answer faster.

2. What your notice has to contain

To be actionable under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), a notice must include all six of the following. A notice missing any of them may be invalid, and we will write back saying which part is missing rather than ignore it.

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed. If one notice covers several works, a representative list of them.
  2. Identification of the material you say is infringing, specific enough for us to find it. In practice this means the URL of the page it appears on, and the question ID shown at the bottom of that page where there is one.
  3. Your contact details: name, postal address, telephone number, and an email address we can reply to.
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and — under penalty of perjury — that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on their behalf.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature. A typed full name at the end of the email counts as an electronic signature.

3. What we do when a notice arrives

We acknowledge every notice within 10 business days. Where the notice is complete, we remove or disable access to the material first and correspond afterwards — we do not hold material up while a complaint is being discussed.

We keep a record of every notice we receive and what we did about it, and we terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly post infringing material.

4. If we removed something of yours by mistake

You can send a counter-notice to the same address. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3) it must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed, and the location it appeared at before removal.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of a mistake or a misidentification.
  4. Your name, postal address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the district where you live — or, if you are outside the United States, of any district in which we may be found — and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.

If we receive a valid counter-notice we forward it to the person who complained. Unless they tell us they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the material, we may restore it between 10 and 14 business days after we receive the counter-notice.

5. A word on false claims

Section 512(f) makes a person who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing — or that it was removed by mistake — liable for the costs and legal fees the misrepresentation causes. Both a notice and a counter-notice are sworn statements. Please treat them as such.
